Description

One remaining undocked boy left!

Bluebell (GARREGLAS LINDOR), our family dog, welcomed a litter of 5 puppies on 19/01/2025. Four boys and one girl. Bluebell comes from a line of successful working spaniels and is well integrated into the family. Although we’ve never worked her she shows signs that she would have made a great working spaniel. She is a small framed cocker spaniel only weighing 9.5 kg and all puppies are expected to be a similar size. This would make them perfect for potential agility dogs.

Charlie (OFTW HOWESYKE REGAL OF MOONREED), the stud, perfectly complements Bluebell with his small stature and soft temperament. He is a successful spaniel winning Open Field Trial Winner & Keepers Choice 29 Nov 21 and Novice Field Trial Winner & Guns Choice 19 Nov 21.
He has been health tested and is clear of the AMS, FN and PRA genes.

They will be microchipped and come with first vaccination. They will all be brought up around a variety of people including small children and will be well handled. They are all liver with a variety of white markings on their chest.

Cocker spaniels are highly active dogs requiring both physical and mental stimulation. Before considering adding one into your family please ensure they would be able to fit into your life.

Only two remaining boys from this amazing litter left. Please feel free to phone to arrange a viewing. A deposit will be required to secure your puppy.

Red boy- £1500 (reserved)
Blue boy- £1500 (reserved)
White boy (docked tail)- £1500 (reserved)

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.

🧠 Final Thought

Buying a gun dog is your responsibility. Do your homework on both the breed and the breeder. Make sure your decision is informed, confident, and in the best interest of the dog.
