Cocker spaniel puppies KC reg. One full of charachter liver dog remaining

BY FTW Spirocon Dynamite, a fantastic working dog out of Earnbank Zippy, just the best cocker I could have. Puppies are bred to haver plenty of energy but both the dog and bitch are very trainable with control as well as drive. These pups will need a very active outdoor, farm or working home and are not bred to be sedentary pets. There is only one liver dog remaining. He's a great little character and I'll post some individual photos of him in the next few days.

The litter is very even and all of them have been well socialised, are very active and well grown. Both the sire and dam are health and eye tested. Puppies have been regularly wormed, raised on a farm and vet practice and used to people and lots going on. KC reg pedigree available.

The sire Spirocon Dynamite competed in novice trials last season winning gundogs choice twice and a novice trial then awards in his first three open trials so he is a very good and consistent young dog. The dam Zippy has been a great dog for me, will work all day with great drive and stamina but also comes stalking, is very good at finding deer, comes out hacking with the horses, comes running, lives in the kennel or the house, is happy hanging around the farm when working but has never gone off hunting on her own. Very biddable and trainable and a great little dog. The puppies have had their tails shortened as intended as working dogs. They will be 8 weeks old and ready for their new homes on 14 May. All enquiries please get in touch

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
