Description
On Saturday 9 May 2026, we were delivered of a gorgeous litter of 8 bitches.
3x black
3x blue roan
1x liver
1x liver roan
We currently have 2 blue roan bitches available. At the time of writing this advert (Saturday 30th May) they are 3 weeks old. They will be 8 weeks old on Saturday 4th July, and all being well we would be happy for them to leave from this date. The blue roans currently look black and white; however, they are going more roan-y by the day and will continue to darken until about 2 years old.
The puppies have been legally docked and dew clawed. They will leave with all the certification and paperwork that comes with that.
This litter is a pairing between our gorgeous black bitch, Daisy, and Kinmurtyre Fred Flintstone of Kodagorse.
Our bitch Daisy is both a fantastic working dog and a our family pet. She is primarily a family pet and we all love her to pieces. She has a temperament to die for and has a really fantastic off switch in the house when she isn’t out training or working. Whilst she is unregistered she makes up for this with her trainability, willingness and eagerness to please. She picks fur, feather and dummies and she hunts beautifully. She is fully healthy tested and the results are as follows:
FN = CLEAR
AMS = CLEAR
prcd-PRA = CLEAR
Daisy is 15kg and 15” at the shoulder.
We chose Kinmurtyre Fred Flintstone of Kodagorse for this mating as we wished to maintain Daisy’s trainability and temperament, which Fred shares, whilst adding in a smaller and stockier stature and some more blood to the offspring. Fred has an excellent pedigree filled with FTCHs and many other award winners. His pedigree contains lots of Brwybll and Maeserderwyn dogs. Fred is also a fantastic working dog who works regularly during the season and is aiming for trials in the coming season. Fred is also fully health tested and his results are as follows:
FN = CLEAR
AMS = CLEAR
prcd-PRA = CLEAR
BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Scheme - Unaffected
PLA = Grade:0
Fred is 12kg and 14.5” at the shoulder.
Puppies will be raised in a home environment with other dogs.
We expect that these puppies will excel in both working homes and active pet homes. Puppies will be raised in a home and will have be introduced to all normal household sounds and will be used to visitors.
Puppies will be registered to the Kennel Club Activity Register.
Please feel free to ask any questions, but please either message or email if possible as I am unlikely to pick up my phone to any unknown numbers. Thanks.
We're based in Bourton-on-the-Water.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs
Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
-
Verify all paperwork:
- Kennel Club (KC) registration number
- Date of birth
- Health screening results
-
Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
