Description

WILMA HAS PRODUCED A FANTASTIC LITTER OF GOLD PUPPIES, AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME I HAVE A HANDSOME GOLDEN BOY AVAILABLE.  THANK YOU FOR LOOKING, THEY ARE TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS!

This will be a fantastic litter of working cocker spaniels, due 24th June.  They have superb bloodlines, with many many field trial champions and winners featured in both my girls and the dads pedigrees.

The sire is fully health tested, and my breeding line has a track record for health, stamina and freedom from inherited diseases.  This will be my sixth generation of home bred cockers. I will be keeping my next girl, who will be raised in a loving family environment, and  be trained to work alongside my other girls as a fully working cocker.  Dad is Whaupley Grouse of Greenfox and mum is Rollafields Magic of Light.

I look for many qualities when searching for a dog, and Ted is the complete package.  He is intelligent, hard working, very handsome, and most importantly a kind and gentle in temperament.  He is the perfect sire for my gorgeous home bred girl, who lives in on a farm and thrives amid the usual family activity, and can then turn it on when out in the shooting field.  Both mum and dad are a golden, and I believe the litter will be predominantly gold, lemon or lemon and white.

The puppies will be KC reg, legally docked ,chipped, vet checked  and vaccinated.  If you are interested, please message me and I will be happy to supply all the relevant details and list of the health tests.

TED’S HEALTH TESTS:

DNA Tested Clear for FN

BVA CLEAR Eye Certificate- June 2021

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
