I’m pleased to announce that we have a beautiful litter of non kc registered Cocker born 23rd May, 5 black puppies with White bibs and feet, very cute and beautiful puppies. 3 dog puppies and 2 bitches.
We own both Mum and dad. Both are working gundogs worked as Gamekeepers dogs
Mum is a beautiful little blue roan cocker, Thelma is a small pocket rocket girl. She is health tested
PRA, hereditary clear AMS Hereditary Clear FN Hereditary Clear BVA eye test Clear 2023 Gonioscopy grade 0
Sid is our Black and Tan dog, Sid is a lovely chunky solid cocker. Sid has a lovely temperament. He can be seen with the puppies
Both being gamekeeper dogs their jobs were anything from dogging in from the early days. To starting the season from August on the grouse, to middle of September on partridge and finishing on the pheasants. On a beautiful estate in the North Yorkshire moors
These puppies will make wonderful working, active companions.
These puppies have had the best start in life being brought up around the everyday family life of being round 2 almost 3 year olds, as well as getting use to the sounds of big machinery, every day household appliances. Puppies will be wormed at 3/5 and 7 weeks with pancur and flea treatment at 7 weeks. They will leave us with their first vaccination and with their microchip along with the relevant paperwork they will need and 5 weeks pet insurance.
As well as puppy pack that includes a toy, blanket with 3kg bag of puppy biscuits.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs
Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.

- Kennel Club (KC) registration number
- Date of birth
- Health screening results

Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
