Description

We’re delighted to announce the arrival of our much-anticipated litter of Cocker Spaniels.

This litter has been carefully and selectively bred with the intention of retaining one puppy to join our small beating team. As much as we would love to keep them all, sadly that isn’t possible, and so the search for their perfect new homes begins.

We currently have four gorgeous boys available — two chocolate and tan, and two solid chocolate.

Their mother, Wren, is an integral member of our working team. She is fearless, driven, and incredibly eager to please. She regularly works on commercial shoots as well as smaller local shoots, proving herself to be a talented and reliable little worker.

Outside the field, Wren is just as special. She is a wonderful family dog, fantastic with children and other dogs, and her kind, steady temperament gives us great confidence that these qualities will be passed on to her puppies.

After carefully researching and meeting many potential stud dogs, we were thrilled to choose Reggie. His calm and confident nature, trainability, excellent breeding, and of course his handsome looks made us certain he would complement Wren perfectly. Reggie also came highly recommended by friends who have used him with their own bitches and have been delighted with the puppies he has produced.

We have incredibly high hopes for these little boys and are excited to watch them grow into the wonderful dogs we believe they can become.

All puppies have been legally docked and will leave KC registered, microchipped, and with their first vaccinations and veterinary checks completed, should prospective owners wish to include this.

We are looking for loving, committed homes where these pups can thrive both as companions and working dogs.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
