Description
Very small in stature (approx. 36cm at the withers) but a highly reliable little dog. Will pick fur and feather confidently and has spent a good amount of time recently in the rabbit pen, showing a lovely hunting pattern and stopping nicely to flush.
Last season he has been used predominantly for beating and standing on the peg. Previously used as a flushing spaniel in Labrador trials, although over the past 2 years his work has mainly focused on beating and peg duties.
He works close while beating, hunts hard, and is responsive on the whistle. During the season he has been working consistently, dogging in 3+ days per week and beating on average 2 days per week.
A typical Cocker in temperament — very affectionate and thrives on close contact with family members. He has always lived indoors and is used to being crated alongside other dogs. He can occasionally bark when left alone.
Seeking an active, knowledgeable working home where he will continue to beat or be regularly shot over.
