Description

ONLY 1 Boy LEFT Our beautiful girl Gwen gave birth to 5 perfectly adorable pups on 26/09/24 at home with the help of our 6 year old daughter right by her side. (2 Male & 3 Female) Gwen is a cream Golden Retriever who has the most beautiful temperament, she’s been reared in our home along with our 2 young children (and lots of nieces and nephews who often are here) and 2 cats (who she loves to snuggle with). Gwen enjoys joining me on a run, or a gentle stroll, if there’s a body of water guaranteed she will be in it! Cuddles on the sofa in the evenings and sneaking into our bed for snuggles is her favourite thing. She is loyal and loving and is practically our shadow and is shown the same love as we show our children. A bit about Gwen: - Colour: Cream & KC registered 5 generation pedigree, Coefficient of Inbreeding (CoI) is 6.6% - 37 generations available of which 7 are complete (Breed average CoI 6.8%) - EBV: hips -4, elbows 44 - Co-efficiency of mum and dad= 4.4% (average is 6.8% so very low risk chance of future health issues) A bit about Dad (Odie): - Colour: Golden (red), KC registered, working type, 5 generation pedigree - Low scores on hips, elbows, PLA and clear eye test results We have 3 girls and 2 boys who will be ready for their forever homes on 21st November 2024. Pups have been slowly weaned off mum with the occasional feed from her, they are eating solid food really well and drinking water from their bowl and have consistently gained weight from the day they were born We will register the puppies with the Kennel Club Pups will have a full health check by a veterinary surgeon who will assess body condition, eyes, ears and teeth, heart and lung function and a full physical examination from nose to tail. They will be microchipped, have full flea & worming treatment from 2 weeks old and leave with a scented blanket from our home. They have had full ENS training from 3 days old which contributes towards neurological, immune and cardiovascular development and aids in the ability to cope with stress in the future. The puppies have been reared in our home amongst household noises and smells. They are handled with care by us and our children and will be around cats. They will be highly socialised and used to a busy home environment. They will also be introduced to our friends dogs of all shapes and sizes who are fully vaccinated to ensure they are socialised around other dogs. Weaning will begin on week 4 and toys introduced for sensory development. We have began to toilet train the puppies from 4 weeks onwards We are so proud of our girl and how amazing she has worked to ensure the best start for her beautiful babies. We couldn’t be prouder of her and the stunning litter she has produced. We wish we could keep them all! If you are interested and would like more information about our beautiful babies, please feel free to contact us. A non refundable deposit of £400 is needed and we will send daily/weekly updates (pictures and videos) of your chosen baby as they grow and develop over the coming weeks. 🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.

🧠 Final Thought

Buying a gun dog is your responsibility. Do your homework on both the breed and the breeder. Make sure your decision is informed, confident, and in the best interest of the dog.
