Out of our amazing litter of 8 we have 1 male looking for his new forever home.

Tara is our working golden retriever, she is one of the most versatile gundogs who will turn her to paw to any job given and execute it well, if the jobs being steady in a beating line, hunting freely on a grouse moor or being a loving companion at home she gives everything 110%.

Her temperament is loving, she’s fiercely loyal & loving to us as her owners but will never say no to fuss or attention from a stranger. Brilliant with all children and other dogs. She’s a very confident happy girl traits which have been passed down to her pups.

She has brilliant health test results: DNA clear for PRA 1 & 2 and ICT. Hips 2/2 elbows 0 ankc scheme scored eyes clear and Gonio 0.

Todd is the sire of the litter, he too is apart of a working gundog team, his temperament is also exceptional, his build and looks have complimented Tara well. His health tests are DNA clear PRA 1&2 and ICT, hips 5/4 elbows 0 and eyes clear.


 

The pup will be available from the 7/12/24 after he has undergone a veterinary health check certificate provided microchipped and 1st vaccination given. He will leave with 4 weeks insurance through Petplan, a puppy pack containing 2kg bag of eukanuba puppy food which he is weaned onto. Kennel club reg paperwork. Worm & flea record which has been done fortnightly since birth.


 

Socialisation which has taken place, he is used to going outside, coming inside and experiencing different household noises, being raised with a toddler present and will have travelled a good distance in a car when taken to the vets.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
