Description

2 males available

1 female

Docked, will come chipped, vaccinated, flead, wormed, kc reg.

Sika (mum) is our home red 4th generation out of trudvang lines, we kept the line because of how easy they are, easier to train than any Labrador we’ve owned, a total first Gundog breed we say (well our line anyway!) very gentle, calm loving nature and soft mouth. They’ll make the perfect bird dogs. I use to compete in field trails with her mother!

Her grand mother and great grand dad also very special dogs, they type you could take anywhere, train to do anything easily.

Wiremoor Gwp have gone on to be trailing dogs, Gundogs, picking up dogs, police dogs & perfect pets too.

We had plans to breed sika to our extremely special new blood - Django who if you follow us you know how special this dog was. We had imported a few dogs and never had much luck! Buying that dogs that are too strong headed, hard mouthed and not the easiest to train, then we bought Django a last time risk, anyway what a special dog he was. The kindest dog I had ever met in my life, he was so easy to train with an incredible soft mouth. Pleasing his handler was the only thing that mattered to him, with so much love. He changed 100s of people mind on shoot days (guns, beaters, pickers) about the breed just with how lovely and easy he was. If you were lucky enough to meet him you would know what I’m talking about.

Unfortunately our time with Django was cruelly taken from us in a freak accident out working. Our heart is still broken with the loss of a serious special dog.

Django had sired only a very few litters and we have been lucky enough to use a son over sika who has been the closest one to him we have found in looks and personality.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
