Exceptional health tested working labrador litter

County / Town: Warwickshire

Description

6 well bred puppies from fully health tested parents have been born on 04/10/2024, 3 yellow boys, 2 yellow girls and 1 black girl.

These puppies are expected to be very trainable with high drive while still having an off switch and are especially suited for work, sports, or for an active lifestyle.   They will be vet checked, microchipped and KC registered before going to their new homes.   They will be well socialized to various sounds, people, animals, new places, etc, using Puppy Culture protocols to prepare them for their new homes.

The COI of this litter is 0% due to the mother being an american import.

From the owner:  "Brian is a lovely young dog bought in last year. Totally unrelated to all our other dogs he’s been a pleasure to train & own from day 1. Brian has proved to be an excellent game finding dog, with lots of natural ability he’s stylish when hunting with a low tail action.
He’s really placid at home, a kind and biddable temperament and very friendly with people and other dogs. he lives with 3 other intact males He’s not an attention seeker but certainly not shy of people or unsure"

Puppy buyers will be regularly updated as the litter grows and frequent visitation to the puppies will be encouraged.   Puppies will be paired with their new owners by the breeder at around 7 weeks based on the puppy buyers needs and preferences, and the traits of the individual puppies.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.

🧠 Final Thought

Buying a gun dog is your responsibility. Do your homework on both the breed and the breeder. Make sure your decision is informed, confident, and in the best interest of the dog.
