Description

2 male puppies are currently available. The remaining puppies were reserved prior to birth.

Puppies are already toilet trained 10pm-5.30am and crate trained. Happily going to bed and settling.

Born; 9th March

This litter has been carefully planned and selectively bred with a strong focus on temperament, trainability, soundness, and working ability. We will be retaining one puppy to continue our line, so this breeding has been undertaken with genuine purpose and long-term commitment in mind.

These puppies represent the fourth generation of our breeding line, all raised within our own kennels. We are fortunate to have the puppies’ mother, father, grandma, grandad, and great-grandmother on site, allowing prospective owners to meet multiple generations and gain a clear understanding of the temperament and quality behind this line.

The Parents

Mum is our own working picking-up Labrador. She has a kind, loyal nature and is exceptionally eager to please, making her highly trainable and a pleasure to work with. In the field, she is a determined and focused hunting dog, while at home she is calm, steady, and easy to live with.

Sire – Thistlerun White River

Also owned by ourselves, he is a gentle, neutral and kind-natured dog. He is steady off-lead and displays excellent control, combined with keen hunting ability and drive when working.

Health & Genetics

  • Fully DNA clear
  • Elbows: 0/0
  • Hips: 3/3
  • Current clear eye certificate
  • EBV Elbows: -14 (Low Risk)
  • EBV Hips: -7 (Low Risk)

Both parents are excellent examples of strong, capable, and sound working Labradors, with outstanding temperaments.

The Puppies

We have a litter of 8 puppies:

  • 2 females
    6 males
  • Colour: Red

The puppies are being raised in a busy family home environment, with children and everyday household activity, ensuring they are well-socialised, confident, and adaptable.

Puppies will leave: ready to leave 4th May

  • Vaccinated (from 6 weeks)
  • Wormed and treated for fleas to date
  • Introduced to a crate
  • With a blanket carrying the scent of mum and littermates
  • With a supply of their current food
  • Having been raised by a qualified vet nurse and dog behaviourist

These puppies will be given the very best start in life and have the potential to make excellent working dogs or active family companions in the right homes.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
