Description
We have three dog pups left to reserve.
Vixen (dam) is a gamekeeper’s dog, working all year round on the farm. Her roles include pushing pheasants off boundaries, beating, and picking up during the shooting season. Throughout the summer months she is regularly around a wide variety of livestock, developing steadiness, patience, and the ability to remain calm and only work when instructed.
She is also a wonderful dog in the home, extremely child friendly, with a kind and steady nature. She absolutely adores people and mixes very well with other dogs.
The sire, Hector, has the kindest temperament. He is always eager to train and thrives on new challenges. Hector has a fantastic “off switch,” with the ability to work hard as part of the main picking-up team, yet is equally content curled up on the sofa at the end of the day.
We have bred this pairing for our own benefit, aiming to produce a well-rounded dog that combines the drive and ability to perform in the field with the temperament and steadiness to fit seamlessly into family life as a much-loved pet. As a result, we will be retaining a puppy from this litter to add to our own working dog team.
