This is a fantastic litter of eight kennel club registered working labradors. Both parents have been bred from Field Trial champion lines, and are extensively health tested DNA:Hips and elbows as well as eye tested.  Sire Klato Karter ( out of British championship winning FTCH Turpingreen-Bohol) is a Field Trial winner. Winning a Field Trial, first time out. Dam is our own bitch that lives in the house as part of the family as well as being an excellent picking up/ peg dog during the shooting season. The litter has been bred for working ability along with excellent temperament. We have one black dog, three yellow dogs and four yellow bitches. These pups have been lovingly reared within our family home and have spent time with our children from day one. The pups will be microchipped and will come with the kennel club free initial insurance along with a skinners dog-food puppy starter pack. These puppies will make ideal working/trialling dogs as well as family pets and have been handled by children and adults from birth.They are very well socialised, used to children as well as all the usual household noises and they have even been taken out in the car to get them used to travelling. These puppies have been responsibly bred from parents who both have wonderful nature's. This has helped ensure we have happy,and healthy puppies. Ready to leave. All our puppies have been microchipped, and health tested with our local vets. All puppies are fit and well. They are ready for their forever homes. We only now have three yellow girls available.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
