We have a Fabulous litter of 9 Fox Red Labrador Puppies. 4 Boys Left ( 2 Girls 3 Boys already sold ). Born on 14th May they will be ready to leave on 9th July. Seen with Mum they are wormed & Frontlined to date & will be Micro-Chipped & Health Checked by our Vet. Mum Penny ( Caramella Golden Rose ) is nearly 5 years old & this is her 2nd litter. She is my Wild fowling & Picking up dog & works throughout the season on 3 different shoots. She is a very loyal & hard working dog, is very Intelligent has a great temperament & comes from a long line of FTCH, she has a fantastic Pedigree. Her Sire is FTCH Mekoro Storm Surge of Wickmoor. Her Hip Score is 2/2 Elbows 0/0, is Eye Clear, Fully Health Tested & is DNA Clear of SD2 - EIC - HNPK - STGD - CNM - prcd-PRA - & MCD.
Dad Clay, Stud Dog ( Kenxtwen Storm Surge at Haracabay ) is a 5 year old Game Keepers working & Wild Fowling dog also working through out the season on shoots. He is a lovely dog with an equally great temperament & is very handsome with it. He also has a great Pedigree with many FTCH. His Hip Score is 3/3, Elbows 0/0, Holds a current Clear Eye Certificate & is Fully Health Tested DNA Clear of SD2 - EIC - HNPK - STGD - CNM - MCD - & prcd-PRA.
These really are gorgeous pups with lovely temperaments, they are very friendly & well socialised. We used Clay again for this litter as Penny's 1st litter were so well received. The owners are so happy with them. They went to both working & pet homes. Penny & Clay are both just great dogs. These pups will make Fabulous working dogs or equally superb companions. They will leave with 5 weeks KC REG free Insurance, 5 Generation Pedigree of both Parents, copy of Hip & Elbow Certificate, Micro- Chipping details & a 3kg bag of Purina Puppy food. 🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs
Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.

- Kennel Club (KC) registration number
- Date of birth
- Health screening results

Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
