3 yr old Kc reg yellow lab bitch. Foxy is a medium sized light framed good natured honest bitch that is easy to live with and has an off switch. She has a keen desire to please.
She has had 2 seasons picking up with me. Sits, stays, walks to heel, stops on whistle, takes directions, goes out on memories, short blinds, holds an area, swims, will jump but it’s not something I overly encourage, good nose on her, takes a line on wounded game, has picked grouse, pheasant, partridge, mallard and teal. She will sweep happily with a team of dogs.
She gets on well with other dogs with no issues. Been around horses. Crate trained, currently kennelled but does come in the house in a crate when we go away. Travels well. Grown up with my 2 daughters. Enjoys her daily walks. Will run along side a push bike and also a quad.
Foxy’s sire and dam are both working dogs. Both of her grandsires were FTW’s. Been regularly wormed and flead with us. Had her eyes checked when she was about 12 months and they were fine. Not had hips or elbows done as I had no intention of breeding off her. Been fed on a mixture of a complete biscuit and a raw diet.

Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
