Beautiful litter of English Springer Spaniel puppies looking for their forever homes. Raised in a loving family home, these pups are well handled daily by our family, socialised, and used to everyday household noises. They are spending time outside in our garden, in the grass getting used to smells and sounds while they are exploring and building their confidence.
Barney (dad) is a heavily marked black and white dog, working a commercial shoot, hunts all covers from bracken, gorse, cover crops etc. Hard hunting dog but biddable at the same time. He works 90+ days in the shooting season, also working poults back to pens through summer months. Will also pick up on the odd days. An all round great dog, with a lovely biddable temperament.
Mum, Ruby is our treasured family pet, who was easy to train, very clever girl and learns quickly. She is brilliant with the children, gentle and soft in the mouth. Also very biddable even with the children. She has been trained to work on the whistle, voice commands and hand signals, and is used for small private shoots. Ruby is great at keeping herself clean, will wait at the back door when she needs to go out, approachable while eating and just an all round wonderful dog.
All of these wonderful traits have been passed down through their breeding, and hopefully with the right environment and owner will be traits the pups all inherit.
These puppies would suit either working homes or active family lifestyles where they will get plenty of exercise, stimulation, and love.
Viewings welcome. Deposits secure. Puppies will be ready to leave from 15th June.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs
Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.

Verify all paperwork:
- Kennel Club (KC) registration number
- Date of birth
- Health screening results

Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
