I created this business to collate a gallery of small moments around my hobbies. Sporting events, working dogs, pets, field sports and everything in-between.

My background…
Photography has popped up as a hobby of mine, maybe around school age, a creative outlet that I have carried throughout life. I originally found an outlet in A Level Fine Art, and shared this on the go-to photo sharing applications, like Tumblr, VSCO, Instagram. Shortly after, at university I ended up pursuing a Business & Marketing BA, and a Brand Management MSc, but having an artistic eye has never left me. I have since dabbled in Social Media Management for various brands, became a Senior Data Analyst in Market Research for Brand Guidance and Consultancy, which is my 9-5 occupation to this day.
In my free time (besides the creative bits), I enjoy olympic lifting/ CrossFit, cooking and generally living in the countryside with my husband and our spaniels. I enjoy capturing things that interest me, thus why Thorpecreek Imagery is all about photographing field- and other sporting events in the countryside.
How it all started...
Pippa, my first working gundog, who I have made an Instagram profile for, has started it all. I have found a sprocker litter shortly after moving to the countryside while browsing on Gundogs Direct. Originally just buying a pet to love, I wanted to show my journey of training her on social media; I set up an account for my puppy, and have quickly gained a good following and a lovely community as a result. We started getting involved in more breed specific training, as I wanted her to have an outlet that allows her to use her working instincts. This is how Thorpecreek Spaniels started.
To document things online, I bought my first proper DSLR camera. About this time, I also started attending training days, working tests and events with and without Pippa. I took photography as an opportunity to observe working dogs and the skills they require, for my own enjoyment and also personal learning to apply in my own training. Pippa has gone from a first naughty pet to gaining her Working Gundog Certificate and becoming a fabulous allround beater, picker, peg dog & poser all in one. I have captured her along this journey, as well as the friends we have made throughout. My platform has also quickly become a place for like minded people to share their journey too, going through the motions of owning a working pet. Through working Pippa, I have been able to get invited to photograph working tests and training days in the summer, shoots and walked-up days in the winter.
Today...
Since having Pippa, our new addition, Aila the springer has joined our family, who I have also captured along with her puppy training, in hopes of her taking me to some KC competitions in the future. She is an absolute join to train, and has made me want a whole pack of spaniels. Nowadays, I'm based in Warwickshire and around the Midlands, but I continue to attend training/ test/ shoot days and events for my own enjoyment all over the UK, while creating for others here and there. It allows me to learn through observation, meet regular and new people, help at events and create something meaningful for those that cherish my images.
What I capture…
I love capturing light, vibrancy in colours & adapting to my own style of portraiture; my main goal is to catch those small moments in the beauty of the countryside that most might miss, and my clients are glad to have afterwards. I will always find my way back to my heartland of photographing dogs, however I have branched into capturing handlers, guns, athletes and people enjoying their time outdoors. My photography days range between individual pet sessions, bigger multiple handler dog training days or tests, shoot days, gym events, as well as capturing branded content. Most of my work is delivered and enjoyed digitally, shared on sites and social media, but has also recently featured in print magazines, some of my clients love receiving their images as framed work, or albums. I have recently loved creating shoot books, calendars and the likes.
How to find me…
Due to the nature of my work, I can be found online through most sites, my website, and social media:
