Yes — all advertisers must provide accurate and transparent descriptions of their gun dogs. Misleading adverts are removed. If you spot anything suspicious, please contact us.
Adverts that have not been updated for 90 days are automatically removed. This keeps the platform current and ensures you're only seeing active listings.
Every advert is required to include a valid email address and contact phone number. You'll find these directly on the listing page. You can also use the built-in messaging feature.
Sellers are prohibited from advertising puppies under 6 months old that they did not breed themselves — this is illegal under Lucy's Law. Any such adverts are removed immediately and may be reported to the police.

Yes. Any breeder operating outside government guidelines without a licence will have their adverts removed. You can ask a seller to share their licence details, and businesses selling multiple dogs must display one.
Gov Breeding Guidance
To keep search results accurate, crossbred dogs cannot be listed under pure breed categories. If you find a misplaced listing please report it and we'll remove it.
Standard adverts last 90 days. Stud adverts last 12 months. Adverts left unedited past their expiry are automatically deleted, so keep yours up to date by logging in and making edits.
No — in the Part-Trained, Trained, and Stud sections each advert must feature one dog only. Violators may have their advert removed without a refund.

No. Titles are locked once an advert goes live. The only exception is spelling corrections carried out by GunDogsDirect staff.

Only if you bred them yourself. Selling puppies under 6 months old that you did not breed is illegal under Lucy's Law. Any such adverts will be removed and the police may be notified.

No. We will only action advert-related requests sent from the email address registered on the advert. Requests from other addresses will not be processed.
If you are breeding outside government guidelines without a licence, your advert will be removed. Make sure you are compliant before listing.

No. If your advert is removed for breaking the rules, no refund will be issued. Not having read the rules is not accepted as an excuse.
If you are selling multiple dogs over a 12-month period as a business, you must use Gold adverts and display your breeding licence. Adverts that don't meet this requirement will be removed without refund.
