Farlavale Ebor (Sparky) is a powerful and compact working cocker with impeccable breeding. His dam is our own OFTW Starry Skye of FarlaVale and his sire is FTCH Kiltonbeck Rollo, winner of the 2019 Cocker Championships. Strong, fast and intelligent - his enthusiastic, biddable nature made him to be an easy dog to train; evident since he was a few weeks old. A proven stud he has produced consistently outstanding pups. As a carrier of the ‘tan point’ gene he’s able to produce black & tan and liver & tan, see photos for an example of his tan-pointed offspring. He is health tested - hereditary clear of AMS, FN, prcd-PRA and PP. Sparky has numerous Field Trial awards including winning the Midland Counties Open Field Trial in December 2022 which qualified him for the Cocker Championships. His offspring are without exception, superb, and due to his honest and biddable disposition are suitable for either working, agility or pet homes. We ourselves have two young dogs by him who can each be seen, one of whom picked up a second place in his first ever field trial and has since won a Novice Trial and is now running at Open level himself. Safety Tips

Here are some tips to keep you safe whilst buying, selling or studding your dog.

Make sure you see the gun dog in person at the breeders location before you pay any monies.
Make sure you see the puppies with the Dam and possibly with the Sire if he is available.
Make sure you have checked all the paper is correct and checked the KC number and their dates of birth.
If something seems not right you can walk away, but make sure you ask lots of questions. Some examples could be: Did you breed the dog(s) yourself? Can I see where they were breed? Can I see the Dam? How old is the mother and how many litters has she had? Was the birth natural or C section? Can I see the farther? Does the dog in question have any health issues? Can you see the registration of the Dam and Sire? Will they be vaccinated and wormed before I purchase?
Always be vigilant and seek advice if you are unsure and ask for advice from a third party.
Only when you are absolutely sure about the dog and the breeder do we advise you go ahead with your purchase.
Buying a gun dog is YOUR responsibility so make sure you have done your homework about the breed of dog and the breeder who is selling. Don’t rush the process!
The breeder should give you the opportunity to see and handle all of the puppies in the litter, rather than the one you are buying.
The puppies should appear happy, healthily and inquisitive.
The breeder should not be selling puppies that are unwell or shows signs of illness like runny eyes or weakness or diarrhoea.
The breeder should only sell you the pup once they are 8 week old.
Make sure you see the puppies environment. Is the whelping pen clean? Do the dogs have clean water and food? All this helps you formulate your decision when purchasing the gun dogs in question.
Make sure you write up a contract to safe guard you and the breeder should your situations change.
Do not leave without the KC registration form. Make sure you have all the documents in your hand with the dog once payment is made.
Never buy a gun dog in a car park, always go to the breeder establishment.
