Description

All puppies now reserved - happy to take contact details in case of any unexpected changes.
We have 4 fantastic puppies available from our much loved litter of KC reg Working Cocker Spaniels. They’ve had the very best start in life, raised in our busy family home alongside children, other dogs, and everyday household noises; making them confident, happy, and well socialised.

They’ve had their nails clipped twice, without trouble. Although still on mum’s milk as she dries up, they are well away on dry and tinned puppy food.

They will be ready to join their active forever homes Thursday 21st August.

They are good strong pups, with really playful and affectionate personalities, proudly fetching and carrying toys.

These pups have been bred for their exceptional temperaments and drive.

Dam is my black bitch (Little Black Betty COI 10.9%) game-keeper bred, and my fun, intelligent, affectionate companion. We’ve hiked many a beach and mountain together, across the UK. She’s super chilled and easy to bring along, or leave behind on long work days. She adores adults and children alike and is a fantastic mother to her pups, feeding and playing well.

Sire is my partner’s much loved working dog (Teddy Redcoat - COI 13%). He’s as  intelligent as he is soft, and is always up for a day on the tractor when he’s not working a drive. A very keen nose, fast learner and loyal work mate. He’s got a successful pheasant season under his belt, and enjoying picking up a few pigeons through the summer.

✅ 3 black boys – £800 each - all reserved
✅ 2 liver/chocolate girls – both reserved

All pups wormed and flea treated regularly, and will leave with:
• First vaccinations
• Microchip
• Full vet check
• KC paperwork
• 5 weeks’ free insurance via The Kennel Club
• Puppy pack - inc. food and scent item

✨ Five-star active homes only

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
