Description

OFTAW sired KC registered working cocker spaniels. Two boys, One liver and One liver and white. Sire is fully health tested Liver Roan Open Field Trial Winner Marshepark Hunt of Farlavale and dam is my KC registered small liver girl from Maesydderwen lines. This is her first litter. She was easy to train and is a good well trained little gundog who works throughout the season beating and picking up as well as being a much loved family dog. She has plenty of drive but also has a nice calm temperament and she is very loyal. The pups are used to all household noises and have been well socialised with people, dogs, cats and livestock. They have been weaned onto a good quality puppy kibble and have had the best start in life enjoying lots of play time and enrichment.

Puppies have been wormed at two and five weeks with a three day course of panacur liquid. They have been microchipped and have had their first vaccination. The vet gave them a full clinical health check and they are healthy puppies. I have a copy of the report for each puppy which I will give to their new familiy. They will be wormed and flea treated at 8 weeks before they leave. They have been legally docked. They are crate trained and will suit working or active homes. They are really super little pups. I have over 30 years experience in training and working dogs and they will make excellent working dogs, agility or companions for active families or individuals.

Pups will leave with all paperwork and a puppy pack including the kibble they have been weaned onto.

Ready to leave on the 20th August.

The liver and white boy pup has now been reserved by my friends.

Only the liver boy pup available.

If you feel you can offer these puppies the right home please call me.

Thankyou for reading my advert.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
