Description

Pleased to announce the safe arrival of our litter of 6 puppies, born on 22/06/2026.

We currently have 1 bitch and 3 dogs available.

Dam – Drumnascamp Cranberry “Jill”

Jill is an exceptionally capable worker with outstanding natural hunting and retrieving ability. She is a valued member of our team equally at  beating, picking up, or sitting on the peg.

Jill possesses incredible drive and game-finding ability, confidently locating and retrieving a wide variety of game. Although we have not yet trialled her ourselves, we have aspirations to do so in the future, particularly following the success of her full litter brother, Drumnascamp Condor, who has trialling success in Ireland.

Away from the shooting field, Jill is a fantastic family companion with a cheeky, affectionate personality that never fails to make us smile.

Sire – OFTW Greengates Ogre “Sid”

Sid is a powerful, hard-hunting dog who will tackle any cover with determination. He has a gentle, biddable nature and possesses that rare quality in a working Cocker—an excellent “off switch” when the day’s work is done.

Handsome, honest and highly trainable, Sid is a pleasure to own, train and work. He finished second in his first Novice Field Trial and has since achieved three Open Trial Seconds and three Open Trial Thirds before winning the South of Scotland Gundog Association Open Cocker Trial at Emblehope Estate on 6th December 2025, qualifying him for the 95th Cocker Championships.

We always pair matings based upon temperament, meaning that puppies will be well rounded dogs suitable for working, family or active homes.

Health & Puppy Information -

Both parents are fully health tested for and clear of:

  • FN
  • prcd-PRA
  • AMS

As well as clear eye tests and gonioscopies.

All puppies have been legally docked and will leave:

  • Kennel Club registered
  • Microchipped
  • Raised following a structured socialisation programme to give them the very best start in life
  • Comprehensive puppy pack
  • Lifetime of breeder assistance

To reserve a puppy, a deposit will be required, with the full balance payable upon collection.

Puppies will be viewed with littermates and their mother, Jill.

Please get in touch if you would like any further information.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
