These puppies have been carefully bred with a strong emphasis on health, temperament and trainability, making them ideal for both active family homes and those looking for a capable working companion.
The Parents:
Both mum and dad are our much-loved family dogs with kind, biddable temperaments.
• Mum is an easy-going, affectionate working cocker with a typical happy, eager-to-please nature.
• Dad is a well-mannered gentleman with an excellent temperament and comes from proven working lines.
Both parents have been extensively health tested:
• DNA tested for the common breed-specific hereditary conditions – all clear
• Hip scored
• Elbow scored
• Dad is also up-to-date with his eye testing
On both the maternal and paternal sides, the puppies descend from Field Trial Champion (FTCH) grandparents, combining proven working ability with the stable temperaments we were looking to preserve.
The Puppies:
Raised in our busy family home, the puppies are accustomed to everyday household life, children and the normal sights and sounds of a family environment. They receive plenty of handling and age-appropriate enrichment to help them develop into confident, well-adjusted dogs.
They are weaned onto a combination of quality kibble and raw food, allowing new owners the flexibility to continue a mixed diet or transition to the feeding approach that best suits their lifestyle.
Before leaving they will be:
• Microchipped
• Fully weaned
• Wormed as appropriate for their age
We choose not to vaccinate before they leave, as we believe it is preferable for new owners' own veterinary practice to begin the vaccination course, ensuring continuity with their chosen vaccine protocol.

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.

Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
