šŸ¾šŸ¤Ž 10-Month-Old Male Chocolate Cocker Spaniel – Looking for His Forever Home

Due to no fault of his own, we’re sadly looking to find a loving new home for our gorgeous 10-month-old Cocker Spaniel boy.

He’s a typical young Cocker – mad, bouncy, full of energy and personality! He’s a lively lad who loves excitement and would really benefit from a home where he can receive plenty of exercise, attention and continued training.

A little about him:

* 10 months old
* Beautiful chocolate/brown coat
* Male
* Microchipped
* Vaccinated
* Well-socialised with both people and other dogs
* Has lived with other dogs his entire life
* Knows basic commands including sit and paw
* Energetic, playful and full of beans!

We want to be completely transparent about his training. Due to him being from an unexpected litter between our own two Cocker Spaniels, we haven’t been able to dedicate as much one-to-one training time to him as we would have liked.

He knows a couple of basic commands but will need someone happy to put in the time, patience and consistency to continue his training.

This really hasn’t been an easy decision, but we feel it’s only fair that he finds a home where he can receive the individual attention he deserves.

We’re not looking for a quick sale. We’re looking for the right home.

Ideally, we’d love someone with experience of energetic breeds who understands that he’s still a young dog with plenty of learning to do.

Please message for further information. Serious, loving homes only. 🐾

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
