KC Reg Extensively Health Tested Fox Red Labrador Puppies

County / Town: Cambridgeshire

Description

We have a beautiful litter of KC Registered extensively health tested Fox Red working type Labrador puppies for sale sired by Haracabay Etesian (Angus). Angus is fully health tested with a good working pedigree and a super trainable temperament. He is dark fox red in colour and is fully health tested, his hip score is 4/4, elbows 0/0 and he has a current clear eye certificate. He is tested clear for PRA, CNM, EIC, SD2, HNPK, STGD & MCD (all 7 of the KC recommended DNA tests), meaning that the puppies are guaranteed to never be affected by any of these conditions by parentage, and if bred from cannot produce puppies affected by any these conditions as their mum is also clear (making these puppies hereditary clear). Their mum Annie is our much loved family pet who is very loyal, fantastic with children, other dogs and all other animals. Annie was bred by myself, her sire is Bolebrokeold Wren's Warren and her grandsire on her dam's side is Quarnford Grouse of Rufriver. She was really easy to train and always wants to please. Annie's hip score is 5/5, elbows 0/0, she has a clear eye certificate and is also tested clear for PRA, CNM, EIC, SD2, HNPK, STGD & MCD. The puppies were born and are being raised in our family home, they have been handled from day one by all ages (including my 9 year old son) so they are used to a busy environment! They are used to lots of noise and have been well socialised with my other dogs. We also have grandma to the pups who can be seen. Mum, grandma and dad are all in the photos. I will update the photos as the puppies grow. The puppies have been raised with no expense spared, they are chunky bold puppies and will be suitable for active homes.  They will be wormed at 2, 4 & 6 weeks with panacur 10% liquid and will be wormed again at 8 weeks with drontol. They are KC registered, microchipped and are currently being weaned onto AVA medium breed dry puppy food. The puppies will have their 1st vaccination and full puppy check before leaving us. They will be ready to leave from Saturday 7th December when they will be 8 weeks old. For any more details or to arrange a viewing please message or call.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.

🧠 Final Thought

Buying a gun dog is your responsibility. Do your homework on both the breed and the breeder. Make sure your decision is informed, confident, and in the best interest of the dog.
