County / Town: East Riding of Yorkshire

Description

After waiting list theres just 1 black dog and 1 yellow bitch left and now advertised for sale. Cracking litter sired by ftch Millbuies ghillie who won the igl championship in 2021 and was 3rd in 2022 making him one of the most consistent and best dogs in the world. To my bitch teomabay helia whos by ftch stauntonvale moosemilk to my ftw Teomabay apache. I used the same sire on apache and was so impressed iv used him again on her daughter travelling 14 hours round trip. Pups are all clear of every dna test including both sire and dam clear eye certs. Bitch hips are 2-4 sires very low too. These pups are reared for competition and work exposed to noise bangs and handled by children. Heidi works over 60 days picking up on hard terrain on the north Yorkshire moors. She will be trialled this season. She's a very fast bitch exceptional game finder like her mother . Kc reg insured and vet checked. 1st jabs also given, 5 gen pedigree speaks for itself. I don't breed for money I breed to improve the line. I have kept a dog from previous mating to her mother and hes a very exciting prospect. All dogs can be seen that I own. Gary's amos speaks for himself. You won't  find better pups. Come with papers food and vet bed and toy. Whilst I'm sure they would make great pets these are probably more driven to work.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.

🧠 Final Thought

Buying a gun dog is your responsibility. Do your homework on both the breed and the breeder. Make sure your decision is informed, confident, and in the best interest of the dog.
