Description

Following lots of interest in this very desirable litter of working labrador puppies we now have reservations on all puppies - however, if you would like to be added to a waiting list in case one becomes available please contact me.  The puppies from this mating should be absolutely superb at anything you might wish them to be trained for, or just for being easy and loving pets.  The sire is the current (2024) IGL Field Trial Championship Winner (FTCH Rustler Master) - top dog in his field at the moment, but also an absolute softie.  Our own girl is the daughter of FTCh Meadowlark Big Rock Fendawood and has been a joy to own and train - she is my first working dog, though my husband has had his own dogs in the past.  THE most loving of creatures (new breed - Lap Labrador!), but also a brilliant working dog who has performed well in Working Tests (1st Novice Dog/Novice Handler on her first outing 2023, 3rd and 4th in Novice Tests up to June last year but is missing out this year as she is a Mum. She also adores her winter work, picking up on various shoots where she is much admired and always welcome.

Both Sire and Dam have been tested for the 7 KC recommended health conditions (not for DNA profiling or coat colour as these are irrelevant!) - Dam is a carrier for STGD but Sire is clear on all tests, so puppies will be clear. Sire and Dam also have current 'unaffected' eye test results.  Elbows - both 0/0.  Hips - Sire 3/3, Dam 3/4.

If you would like to be added to my waiting list of people interested in owning one of these exceptional puppies please don't hesitate to make contact.

Picking Order:

POSITION 1 - BOOKED, for a bitch

POSITION 2 - BOOKED, for a bitch

POSITION 3 - BOOKED, for a bitch

POSITION 4 - BOOKED,  for a dog

POSITION 5 - BOOKED, for a dog

WAITING LIST - 2 (for a bitch)

The puppies are KC registered, and will come to you treated for fleas, wormed, microchipped and vet checked - and with a 4 day supply of their current food and a small piece of 'comfort' fleece (a piece of the fleece they have been sleeping on with their litter-mates and mum).

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
