Description

Our girl Polly has welcomed her first litter of exceptional Labrador Retriever puppies who are KC registered from champion bloodlines and fully health tested.

We have 7 beautiful puppies:

  • 3 dark fox red boys
  • 2 yellow boys
  • 2 yellow girls

The parents are from specially selected champion blood lines, from heavily titled championship lines combined with amazing health test results for several generations,  ensuring we have produced the healthiest pups possible. Also to make sure these pups will grow to be strong and healthy we did a COI test on the parents to make sure there would be no inbreeding within the lines. COI stands for Coefficient of Inbreeding. The lower the score between the parents the healthier the pups. These tests can only be done on KC registered dogs. Polly (Dam) and Bear (Sire) scored an outstanding 4.6% with the breed average being 6.5% and 12.5% being an indicator of genetic equivalence and as you can see there would be no chance with their low score. Since the puppies come from working stock, they cannot be compared to the show strain of Labrador Retriever that tend to be less agile, while having broader heads and deeper chests. The working strain of labrador tend to be extremely easy to train, whilst making loyal, biddable pets.

The mother Polly (Lady Luna Selene) is an exceptional example of the breed. She has many FTCH in her lines including FT CH Tanyrhallt Blue Bloods and FT CH Drakesheads. She has a trainable nature and an excellent temperament which she will pass on to her pups. Not only does she have the capability to be a good working dog as she is so easily trainable she is our family pet and my 1 year old son’s bestest friend. She is so gentle and kind natured with him and I couldn’t ask for a better dog to be part of our family. I also own the mother to the dam Polly who can be seen on viewings. She also only had the one litter where Polly was born and was my pick from the litter. Polly was bred by myself and to a high standard, her litter was carefully planned with excellent health test results. My girl has an extremely low COI result of 3.5% and I am still in contact with the owners of the rest of the litter where one has gone on to achieve 2nd place in Scentwork UK.

The father Bear (Forester Flying High) can be found on the champ dogs website. He is an exceptional working dog and a brilliant family member.  He is extensively health tested and all paperwork can be seen and copies can be included within your puppy packs. He possesses all the desirable traits of the Labrador retriever breed. He is loyal, kind and above all biddable. Bear just wants to please, not a bad bone in his body, always full of affection towards people and other friendly dogs. He has many FTCH in his pedigree including FT CH Stauntonvale Moose Milk who is his sire. FT CH Kestrelway Freddie and FT CH Stauntonvale Fastnet his grandparents. His health test results are detailed below and can also be found on the kennel club website:

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
