Description

Beautiful litter of 8 pups from our Libby, this is her second litter with just under 2 years between them. I have over 20 years experience and as a family we raise the pups in our family home on a small holding. We have had a few leave us for therapy dog training as well as working and of course pets. We pride ourselves in raising well rounded pups.

Im still in touch with many of the people that have had a puppy from me over the 20 years and they have been back for their 2nd and 3rd puppy. I offer my knowledge to all the new owners on how to settle the pupixnto their new home, feeding regime, sleep pattern, introducing other pets and lead walking/basic training.

Each pup will have a contract of sale in which it gives new owner 3 days to get pup checked by their vet and full refund of purchase price paid if they can confirm in writing any health defect with that pup by the vet. Pups will have started crate training and will have 1 to 1 attention to help confidence and separation anxiety. We will do water training outside, car journeys and start toilet training.

Sire is working line Labrador, superb temperament and is a keen learner. Tag is health checked with hips, elbows, eyes and DNA.

Dam is working line small Labrador family pet. She is great with kids, other pets and has a very calm and friendly temperature. Libby is health checked with hips, elbows, eyes and DNA.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
