Description

Due to time wasters I have one yellow bitch puppy available for a 5* forever home.
The Dam is my Holly (Ombrehen Pintail), third generation of my lines and is an asset to my picking up team, working on all manner of shoot days including big commercial days, small days and is happy next to me in the beating line. She is fiercely loyal and incredibly biddable. Her elbow score is 0/0 and hips 4/6.
Sire, ‘Biggie’ (Blackenvoy Revelry) is a solid, fox red Labrador used for competing and picking up. His elbow score is 0/0 and hips 3/4. Both parents have a soft and easy to train nature which I am hopeful will reflect in the puppies. Both parents are DNA health tested clear of SD2, CNM, EIC, PRA, HNPK, MCD and STGD and therefore the puppies are hereditary clear of all these diseases.
Alongside mother to the pups, I own grandmother, great-aunt and their great-grandmother was my first working dog. I am keeping two puppies back myself to join the team and continue the line.
Although they are working, my dogs are first and foremost family members and live in our busy house with three children, a cat and chickens. Therefore these pups have been raised indoors, in our home with access to our garden and already well underway with house training.
This last bitch puppy is a confident girl and one of the boldest to explore new things. She is very playful and loves a cuddle. She will make for a wonderful pet or working dog. She is kennel club endorsed which can be lifted in future if certain conditions are met.
The puppies are well socialised around people and other animals and gaining lots of exposure to household noises. I am also playing various sounds - including fireworks - to hopefully make adjusting to life a little bit easier for them in the future. She will be microchipped, wormed and will of had a vet check and first vaccination. She will come with a puppy pack and lifetime support.
There has been no expense spared for these puppies and home is incredibly important to us so please respect that it won’t be first come first serve, a home must be well suited and she will stay with us until she finds the right one.
Please feel free to contact me for any further questions or information.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
