KT-registered, truly exceptional litter of labrador puppies, being brought up in a family environment but from an outstanding Field Trial Champion lineage on both sides.
Having searched around the countryside for a special dog to mate with our Tilly, we found Blazer (FT CH Elmertown Blazer of SussexSharp), chosen for his excellent genetic test results, his 0,0 hips and 0,0 elbows and his proven track record as a Field Trial Champion. A phenomenal dog, with great composition and outstanding manners.
Tilly (KC registered as Florence Goes with the Flo) is home-bred from a line owned for the last 15 years. Tilly is sired by our amazing Shangarrilyn Secret Mission (we call him Hooper) also from a Field Trial Champion. Tilly picks up all season and sits at the peg. Great hips 2,2 and 0,0 elbows and she’s also passed all her genetic tests (every certificate is available to see).
Looking at the lines involved, it’s no wonder the litter is stunning. We couldn’t be happier with all of them.
We have four black dogs, 2 black bitches and 1 yellow bitch. The puppies already show balanced clean line yet athletic build. They are happy, super healthy and already eager to learn, exhibiting early potential and great aptitude, combining the top-tier traits of Champion working lines and the makings of a superb family pet, perfect for active households as working dogs or as a loyal family companion.
We have already, and will continue to, spend time preparing them for their new homes, with initial puppy training and to identify individual traits for their potential work and forever families.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs
Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.

Verify all paperwork:
- Kennel Club (KC) registration number
- Date of birth
- Health screening results

Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
