KC Registered Fox Red Labrador Puppies – Forever Homes Wanted

We have 6 beautiful fox red Labrador puppies looking for their forever homes – 3 girls and 3 boys available from a healthy litter of 8. We are keeping 2 puppies ourselves to continue the mother's line and to join our picking-up team.

Mum is our own KC registered fox red Labrador. She works throughout the shooting season on large shooting estates, where she has an excellent nose and is a reliable retriever of fallen game. Alongside being a fantastic working dog, she is a cherished family pet with an exceptional temperament and is brilliant with our two young children.

The sire is Fosterwold Snipe, a health-tested, KC registered fox red Labrador with outstanding FTCh (Field Trial Champion) lines. He is bred from proven working stock with excellent drive, trainability and temperament, making this an exceptional combination of working ability and family-friendly nature.

The puppies have been lovingly raised in our family home around young children and other dogs, ensuring they are well socialised, confident and used to everyday household life. They are expected to make wonderful family companions as well as valuable additions to working, picking-up or shooting homes.

Before leaving for their new homes, each puppy will:

- Be KC registered

- Be microchipped

- Have received their first vaccination

- Be wormed to date

- Leave with the relevant paperwork and a puppy pack

These puppies combine exceptional working bloodlines with kind, affectionate temperaments and are looking for caring, lifelong homes where they can reach their full potential.

Viewings are welcome, and serious enquiries only, please.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
