We adore Pebble and it has not been an easy decision to decide to look for a home for her so we will be really picky about which family she becomes a part of. We are in no rush to part ways with her - our top priority is finding a loving home for her. We are reducing the number of dogs we have and that is the only reason we are looking to find Pebble a new home. It is through no fault of hers at all. She is incredibly affectionate and gentle but shows real promise during training if wanted to be used during shoot season. Both parents are used regularly throughout shoot season. Rhubarb (her mum) is a pet for the rest of the year and is firmly a sofa surfing dog.

Great with kids and other dogs. We have chickens who she has grown up with and is great around them as well.

Pebble is fully house trained and has never lived in a kennel. Sleeps in a crate overnight. She is car trained and has regular trips out with us and the rest of the team. Heels on and off the lead with auto-sit, including sit and stay. Recall is immaculate and has started whistle recall. Started steadiness to retrieiving training. Videos on request.

Mum is our breeding labrador (Bryntail Sierra) and is available to meet. Sire is Afinmore Amsterdam. Both fully health tested with excellent hip/elbow scores.

We ask that anyone who is interested to come and visit us, Pebble and Rhubarb before any firm commitments are made from either party. This is to ensure we find the best possible home for Pebble, which is our ultimate priority.

Safety Tips

Here are some tips to keep you safe whilst buying, selling or studding your dog.

Make sure you see the gun dog in person at the breeders location before you pay any monies.
Make sure you see the puppies with the Dam and possibly with the Sire if he is available.
Make sure you have checked all the paper is correct and checked the KC number and their dates of birth.
If something seems not right you can walk away, but make sure you ask lots of questions. Some examples could be: Did you breed the dog(s) yourself? Can I see where they were breed? Can I see the Dam? How old is the mother and how many litters has she had? Was the birth natural or C section? Can I see the farther? Does the dog in question have any health issues? Can you see the registration of the Dam and Sire? Will they be vaccinated and wormed before I purchase?
Always be vigilant and seek advice if you are unsure and ask for advice from a third party.
Only when you are absolutely sure about the dog and the breeder do we advise you go ahead with your purchase.
Buying a gun dog is YOUR responsibility so make sure you have done your homework about the breed of dog and the breeder who is selling. Don’t rush the process!
The breeder should give you the opportunity to see and handle all of the puppies in the litter, rather than the one you are buying.
The puppies should appear happy, healthily and inquisitive.
The breeder should not be selling puppies that are unwell or shows signs of illness like runny eyes or weakness or diarrhoea.
The breeder should only sell you the pup once they are 8 week old.
Make sure you see the puppies environment. Is the whelping pen clean? Do the dogs have clean water and food? All this helps you formulate your decision when purchasing the gun dogs in question.
Make sure you write up a contract to safe guard you and the breeder should your situations change.
Do not leave without the KC registration form. Make sure you have all the documents in your hand with the dog once payment is made.
Never buy a gun dog in a car park, always go to the breeder establishment.
