Description

Here at Cazadorarose kennels we are a small family run business, based in the beautiful countryside of North Wales.

As fully licenced breeders we take producing your new puppy seriously. We are regulated and inspected by our local council, vet and DEFRA inspector regularly.

We pride ourselves on producing and breeding brilliant working dogs, all of which have health certificates to show they are fit and heathy to breed. All of our dogs are our much loved family pets and our aim is to produce fit healthy puppies with fabulous manners, intellect and soundness.

We select our stud dogs specifically due to their workingability, temperament, fitness and health to create the best possible puppy that can give you a life time of pleasure and make us and their owners proud.

I have passed my level 3 in breeding, litter socialisation and welfare and I have just completed the first ever diploma level degree in breeding finishing first in my class.

We currently have a litter of KC reg, wire coated, working Teckel (Dachshund) puppies from our beautiful wild boar coloured Teckel Gretel.

Gretel is 4 years old and this is her second litter. She has taken to motherhood amazingly well and has made us very proud.

Gretel is an amazing family pet, she's placid, easy going, spends most of her time flat on her back and is absolutely obsessed with children!

Gretel is also used regularly as a deer stalking / tracking dog, she is very controllable whilst at work and walks to heal whilst stalking.

Gretel has been tested for

cord1 - Clear

DM - Clear

OI – Clear

A-LOCUS – wild sable

B-LOCUS - Clear

The sire to this litter is a very handsome stud dog, KC reg Wire coated Teckel called Mak. Mak also has a fabulous personality and temperament who is also brought up in a family house hold. He too is also a working dog who has sired a impressive amount of litters across the country

Mak is also KC registered and has had all of his DNA health tests

Gretel has had a litter of 5 wild boar coloured puppies. These puppies will be brought up in a family environment with a mixture of indoor and outdoor time. They are brought up around children and other dogs/animals and will have had lots of introductions and experiences in the 8 short weeks they are with us including socialisation with noises, texture and levels, basic training, toilet training, crate and car training and forming a sleeping pattern.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
