Description

¼ Labrador Retriever ¾ German Shorthaired Pointer Pups.

1 Black bitch

This litter has been planned for a few years now solely due to us wanting a pup for ourselves. Penny (Dam) is 1/2 Labrador Retriever 1/2 Gsp bred by us and Jet (Sire) is pure German Shorthaired Pointer with an impressive pedigree.
We own both parents who are fantastic working dogs with the most wonderful temperaments. Both are biddable and have been easy to train throughout. Penny mother of the pups is a beautiful all round dog, truthfully I’ve had to put little training into her everything I’ve asked of her she has excelled at she will pick up, beat and can sit on the peg and before the shooting season is my husbands dogging in dog, she is lovely natured and very soft and loving with my daughter. Jet (Sire) is my go to dog he can be put into any situation and just ease and excel at it whether that be out on a shoot day coming to work with me he is a typical Gsp gives to much love and expects nothing back in return.

Pups are being brought up in the house so will be used to noise and hopefully by the time they leave in some sort of routine for new owners, they will be used to other dogs and small children. They have been legally docked with vet certificate to prove this, they will microchipped and leave with a puppy pack.

Active/working homes will be suited to these pups yes both parents work but they also have off switches and can be taken out to everyday situations and not be phased and also appreciate rest days.

£250 non refundable deposit to secure chosen pup.

Pup will come with a contract stating if you cannot for whatever reason keep the pup then I am who you call first to inform and I either take pup back or help find another home throughout entire pups lifespan. I aided in bringing them into the world that doesn’t stop there when they leave as a puppy.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
