Meadowbeat are delighted to offer four beautifully bred GSP puppies, born on 20th August 2026, from two proven working parents with excellent versatility and genuine working ability.
This carefully bred litter brings together the outstanding qualities we value in the German Shorthaired Pointer — a keen nose, natural hunting ability, intelligence, trainability and, importantly, the temperament to be a wonderful companion in the home.
The puppies are sired by Clonadoran King, a proven working dog with particular merit in the field, having qualified for the 2023 Kennel Club HPR Championship. He represents the true working qualities and athleticism of the breed and has demonstrated his ability at the highest level of HPR competition.
The dam, ‘Rue’ (Pink Panther of Meadowbeat), is an excellent all-round working bitch and a much-loved member of our family. She has a calm and affectionate temperament around the home and is particularly good with our young children. In the field she is a keen and natural worker with an excellent nose. Predominantly worked as a bird dog, she also accompanies us deer stalking, demonstrating the versatility for which the German Shorthaired Pointer is so highly regarded.
For us, the ideal GSP is not simply a good-looking dog, but one that can work hard in the field and settle happily into family life at home. Both parents demonstrate these qualities, making this an exciting litter for those looking for a working companion and families.
There are four puppies in total:
- 2 black & white males
- 1 liver & white male
- 1 black & white bitch
The puppies will be Irish Kennel Club registered, with both parents being Irish Kennel Club registered. Their tails have been legally docked, and the appropriate paperwork will be provided. They will be microchipped and vaccinated at 8 weeks and ready for new homes from 15th October.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs
Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.

- Kennel Club (KC) registration number
- Date of birth
- Health screening results

Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
