Description
Exceptional litter of seven working cocker spaniel pups. Both dogs and bitches available
This litter has been carefully planned for me to keep two pups.
Mother Fizz is the third generation I have owned of this line of working cockers. She is small in stature, quiet and soft natured, but is a hard worker and will face any cover. She is worked every week in the shooting season, both beating and picking up. She is an exceptional game finder.
The sire to the pups is Marshall. He is a young trialling dog with an outstanding pedigree and a great future ahead of him. He also has a good temperament but is very quick and hard hunting.
The puppies will be wormed at 4, 6 and 8 weeks old. They will also be flead, micro chipped and have their 1st vaccination. The pups have been legally docked with all relevant certification. They are also Royal Kennel Club registered.
They will leave with 5 weeks free insurance, a puppy pack containing skinners puppy food and a puppy contract.
These pups have some of the best trialling and working breeding in the country, with many Ftch and Oftw in their pedigree.
They are bold and confident and have had a lot of time spent on socialising them both indoors and outdoors. They are naturally hunting and retrieving already. They will make great working dogs, or loyal pets in active homes.
They will be ready to leave for their new homes after 24/7/26
We are happy to keep the pups longer if you have holidays booked.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs
Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.
- Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
- Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
-
Verify all paperwork:
- Kennel Club (KC) registration number
- Date of birth
- Health screening results
-
Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
- Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
- Can I see where they were bred and raised?
- How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
- Was the birth natural or via C-section?
- Are there any known health issues?
- Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
- Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?
- If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
- Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
- Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.
- Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
- You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
- Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
- Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.
- Is the whelping pen clean?
- Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
- The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.
- Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
- Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
- Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
